5. Refurbished Computers

Capitol Asset Recovery is more than just breaking down and recycling old computers (although we do that very well).

We also rebuild and refurbish old computers, giving them new life, and giving them to nonprofits and schools that can't afford to buy computers, or even sell them to end users who need a computer, but maybe can't quite afford a brand new one.

At our 18,000-square-foot warehouse in Beltsville, MD, Capitol Asset Recovery technicians process thousands of units each month, restoring used computers to perfect working order.

It is during this process that data wiping and de-labeling occurs, completing the transition from your hands to ours and preparing your used computer equipment to go into new hands. Data wiping completely strips your system of personal information and software licenses, and de-labeling does the same to your system's external surfaces. We remove all stickers, labels, barcodes and other information that would tie your equipment to you. We're concerned about your safety and security, and we take it very seriously.
